that's probably thinking too small," Su told Yahoo Finance on Monday when asked about concerns that massive AI investments may be getting ahead of themselves. "You have to really look at what the power of this technology can do for the world."Su said the company is "investing at the right pace because we want to accelerate ... this is a place where [and] when companies and partners make bold moves, it will be rewarded."Shares of AMD rose 4% before the bell on Tuesday, having jumped by as much as 35% on Monday after the company announced a multibillion-dollar partnership with OpenAI (OPAI.PVT).It's one of the largest infrastructure deals to date. It will see AMD supply up to 6 gigawatts of GPUs to the ChatGPT maker over several years, starting with its upcoming MI450 chips in the second half of 2026.Under the agreement, AMD also issued OpenAI warrants for up to 160 million shares, or roughly 10% of the company. Shares will vest in stages as AMD hits milestones, beginning once the company deploys its first 1 gigawatt of chips.Su said the deal could generate "tens of billions of dollars" in revenue for AMD over the next few years.
