The Bombay High Court has cancelled the preventive detention of Dikshant Sapkale. The court called the detention an illegal and careless exercise of power. The Maharashtra government must pay Sapkale Rs 2 lakh in compensation. This amount will be recovered from the Jalgaon district magistrate. The court found the detention order was served late, after Sapkale received bail.
