He had earlier pleaded guilty to a separate charge of entering Britain illegally.Prosecutors said Khan posted a video between 12 and 15 October 2024 in which he made gun gestures and said “pop, pop, pop” while responding to a YouTube clip by Farage about illegal migration. In court, Farage said the post was “pretty chilling” and that he was “genuinely worried” given Khan’s apparent familiarity with guns. “He says he’s coming to England and he’s going to shoot me. I understood that very clearly indeed,” Farage told jurors, as reported by The Independent.Afghan man found guilty of threat to kill Reform UK leader Farage in TikTok video. Farage said the comment was “deeply misogynistic” and showed that Khan “clearly treats women as mere objects”.Nicholas Coates of the Crown Prosecution Service said the conviction “sends a clear message” that “elected politicians must be able to do their jobs free from fear or abuse”.Khan, who used the username madapasa on TikTok and had a large following online, told police after his arrest that his videos were not serious and that he was “playing a character”.During cross-examination, Khan’s lawyer Charles Royle suggested to Farage that the video “suited your narrative”. Farage replied, “It doesn’t suit my narrative, it’s a fact,” Reuters reported. The jury convicted Khan by a 10–2 majority. He will be sentenced next week.
