Video director Edrine Paul has opened up about how he has managed to progress from one step to another in the Ugandan videography industry. Sharing his journey in a sit-down interview, Edrine disclosed that it has not been a smooth transition since he had to start alone and self-taught to run everything. He explains that the 10 years he’s been in the industry have been a process of consistent learning and unlearning from color grading to editing, and so many other staff, since technology keeps evolving. “The 10 years have been in the field, have been years of practice, so you can’t say that I learned the camera in two years. You get to learn all of them at once. After all that, I learned color grading over time. The learning in videography doesn’t end, because all the time technology keeps evolving, ” Edrine Paul. His hustle and resilience have yielded positive results, and at the moment is one of the most sought-after video directors that every artist in the creative industry desires to work with.He has collaborated with most of Uganda’s celebrated superstars, from Ziza Bafana, Eddy Kenzo, Lydia Jazmine, David Lutalo, Sheebah Karungi, Latinum Lati, and Iryn Namubiru, among many others. @sparktvuganda Natandika okweyigiriza ‘camera’ nzekka ne ngenda mu maaso nga ntereza. – @Edrine Paul _ Director #MwasuzeMutya ♬ original sound – Spark TV The post Video director Edrine Paul shares journey to success appeared first on MBU.
