However, the film struggled to sustain its momentum and eventually failed the Monday litmus test. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 3 crore on Monday, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 33 crore.Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari box office and occupancyThe Shashank Khaitan directorial earned Rs 9.25 crore when it opened in theatres on Thursday. The film saw a 40 percent drop on Friday, collecting Rs 5.5 crore. Over its first weekend, it witnessed a slight growth of around 36 percent, minting Rs 7.5 crore and Rs 7.75 crore on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. However, it saw a steep 61 percent fall on Monday as earnings dipped to Rs 3 crore. Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, had earned Rs 132 crore within just five days of release — far more than Janhvi and Varun’s rom-com, which managed Rs 33 crore in the same period.Interestingly, Janhvi also starred in another romantic comedy this year — Param Sundari with Sidharth Malhotra.
