I used to take video (unasked) and photos (not a pro), but eventually tired of it. Why? Because of the people who would protest being in it, and then ask for free copies once it was done. They didn't mind being in it, but felt they 'had to' put on a show of not being vain or something. But it was annoying, and they'd say it loud enough that I felt like a pushy person when I wasn't. If you don't want to be in it, just casually leave the frame. I didn't intrude, and I didn't eat into the pro's work if a pro was hired. I tried to get the little moments after the pro had left or the main plus casual moments if there wasn't one. I was doing them a favor, they were later glad to have it. Thanks are nice but not required, but don't 'protest too much' and make fun of me when I'm trying to make a nice memento for the actual focus of it, and then want me to pay for copies and mail them, when it's done. /rant over Any other former "this would be a nice keepsake for them" amateur photogs/videographers?
