In a joint operation, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Government Railway Police (GRP) of Ongole arrested three persons wanted in separate theft cases.The police apprehended Sk. Madhar and Anand, both residents of Nidubrolu, for committing theft in the Tirumala Express near Ongole railway station on October 1. During the investigation, officers recovered 41 grams of gold ornaments worth ₹4 lakh from their possession.In another case, police arrested Gorla Raghava Reddy for stealing a mobile phone from a passenger aboard the Puri–Tirupati Express near Ongole station on October 6.Officials said six mobile phones were recovered from the accused, who were previously involved in about 19 theft cases.Published - October 07, 2025 11:37 pm IST
