The EU has asked Snapchat, YouTube, Apple, and Google to explain how they protect children online, amid growing support for restricting minors’ social media access. Inspired by Australia’s under-16 ban, 25 of 27 EU countries back studying bloc-wide limits. The inquiry, under the Digital Services Act, could lead to future probes.
