What an emotional journey Daredevil: Born Again was. After initially being told that the revival of the Netflix series would abandon most of that show’s supporting cast, we then learned that Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll were in fact returning as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page, only to see Foggy get killed in the first episode. And Marvel‘s not done toying with our emotions yet.In conversation with EW, Marvel Television and Animation head Brad Winderbaum confirmed that we haven’t seen the last of Henson as Matt Murdock’s best friend. “I can tell you he is in season two,” Winderbaum stated.cnx.cmd.push(function() {cnx({playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530",}).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796");});Foggy’s return represents just one of several high-profile characters coming back to Hell’s Kitchen for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, as the show will also see Jessica Jones back on the case. Once again portrayed by Krysten Ritter, Jones’s reprise has led some to wonder if Mike Colter and Finn Jones as Luke Cage and Danny “Iron Fist” Rand will come back too.“The less I say the better,” teased Winderbaum, keeping some things in the dark for now. However, the producer was willing to talk about Jessica’s part in the upcoming show. “Characters can come into his orbit from the greater universe,” Winderbaum explained. “The first and best idea was to bring Krysten back and to have her be part of this resistance that Matt is trying to build in the midst of a lot of obstacles in duress in Fisk’s New York.As that point reminds us, Born Again season 1 ended with Wilson Fisk using his power as mayor of New York to outlaw vigilantes and take control over the city’s police force, declaring absolute power over the metropolis. The resistance against Fisk, both within and outside his administration, is the chief draw of the series.“There’s a palace intrigue-type storytelling [in Born Again season 2] that is really fun to read. I’m starting to watch the cuts. It’s amazing,” Winderbaum enthused. “So I don’t know if it’s exactly about who’s gonna show up. It’s a little deeper than that. There are rewards to be had for fans, but it’s really about the stakes of this world that this Kingpin is building in New York City.”And what about the world that Winderbaum is building on Marvel Televisions shows like Born Again? There’s a lot going on there, and he can understand why actors like Henson are sometimes cagey about their role in the projects. “People don’t know what they’re allowed to say and what they’re not allowed to say,” he acknowledge. “Do I play it coy? Do I be honest? It’s always a dance.”And so the dance continues as we wait to learn Foggy’s fate in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, a dance that will surely stomp all over our emotions once again.Daredevil: Born Again season 2 streams on Disney+ in March 2026.The post Daredevil: Born Again Producer Confirms the Return of a Fan Favorite Character appeared first on Den of Geek.
