This is about getting into a stadium.“Fundamentally, if we don’t have a stadium, we don’t have a football club. It’s appallingly as binary as that.”Despite set-backs, the Cherwell District Council accepted the planning application on August 14, conserving the future of the Championship club. What to expect from the new stadium? The £130million stadium is set to be the first in the country to be fully powered by electricity. It will be constructed on the Triangle site, six kilometres north of the centre of Oxford. The ground will be located next to Oxford Parkway railway station and the Kidlington roundabout, which is expected to boost the use of public transport.Up to 450 bicycle parking spaces will also be available to use with new pedestrian and cycling paths linking it with neighbouring communities and public transport. The new stadium intends on being a multifunctional centre of community, having an event space for 1,000 people on top of the 16,000 seats for fans.
