I suspect, based on their completely ridiculous post, that they (or whoever owned the horse before them) didn't put a lot of time into making a nice gentle broke horse. It's really a shame. People don't think long-term about their animals. If your horse is good under saddle and not rank, then when they're old or lame they might have a chance at a nice retirement doing exactly what you describe.
