The speculations that British star Regé-Jean Page will play the next James Bond have finally been addressed.Well-known for his portrayal of Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in the first season of Bridgerton, Regé-Jean Page said the rumors were “really bizarre.” The 38-year-old remarked, stating, “It is strange; it’s not normal.”Regé-Jean Page detailed his experience while appearing with Esquire UK, saying, “How I navigate it is very much about what is useful, what serves me in my job, in being able to deliver what I need to deliver to an audience, and a lot of that is just grounding.” The Gray Man star put a lot of effort into navigating that atmosphere because he thought the rumors were so serious.Continuing his remarks, Page admitted, “It does get quite loud on the inside—it was very, very intense, that combination of conversation—and I think I worked quite consciously to be able to navigate that environment with some normalcy for myself.”He also mentioned how flattering the rumors were on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’m very, very glad to have the badge. I’m glad to be in such wonderful company of people who have the badge. But it’s a badge,” he stated.
