Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has arrived in Accra for a three-day state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.The visit, which runs from April 1 to April 3, was confirmed in a statement dated March 31, 2026, signed by the Minister of State in Charge of Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu. According to the statement, the visit is geared at deepening relations between Ghana and Zimbabwe.Upon arrival at the Accra International Airport on April 1, President Mnangagwa was received by President John Dramani Mahama with full military honours, including a guard of honour mounted by the Ghana Armed Forces.During the visit, the two leaders are expected to hold high-level talks at the Peduase Lodge, where they will discuss collaboration in key sectors such as trade, agriculture, health, tourism, and governance. Agreements in the areas of investment promotion, youth employment, and anti-corruption initiatives are highly anticipated during the high-profile meeting.President Mahama will also host a state banquet in honour of his Zimbabwean counterpart, underscoring the historic ties between the two nations that date back to their liberation struggles.President Mnangagwa is expected to depart Ghana on Friday, April 3, 2026.
