Four people have been confirmed dead following a fatal road accident involving a sprinter bus at Sefwi Asempanaye in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region.The incident occurred on Tuesday when the vehicle, travelling from Kumasi to Oseikojokrom, reportedly experienced brake failure while in motion.Simon Chebure, also known as “Papa Shee,” Unit Committee Chairman of Asempanaye, explained that the driver lost control after the brakes failed, causing the bus to veer off its lane and crash into a roadside culvert.The crash resulted in the instant death of four occupants, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.The injured victims were rushed to nearby health facilities, with many currently receiving care at the Sefwi Asafo St. John of God Hospital.Mr. Chebure noted that the identities of the deceased have not yet been officially released, as relatives are arriving at the hospital following the incident.Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the crash, as concerns over road safety continue to rise.
