Same thing happened to me with a snowboard jacket I was trying to sell. It was a Burton 2L Goretex jacket which retailed for over $300. Since the snowboard market isn’t popular in my area, I knew I’d have to discount it heavily to get it sold, so I listed it for $120 with the intent of negotiation to $80-$100. A guy offers me $50, citing that he found similar jackets on apps like Depop and Mercari for $50, and when he sent me the links, they ended up being vintage Burton ski jackets in horrible colors, bad condition, and definitely not goretex. So I explained that to him and he sent me more on FB Marketplace with the same issues, and reordered me $50. I told him to just buy those and he ended up leaving the conversation, presumably in anger. Ended up selling it to my close friend for $100 lol
