Česká zbrojovka has announced a new partnership with Ace Virtual Shooting to introduce a virtual reality controller modeled after the CZ Shadow 2, bringing competition-style pistol shooting into a digital training environment. The new controller is designed to replicate the ergonomics and handling characteristics of the Shadow 2 platform, a well-established choice in practical shooting disciplines. By translating these physical attributes into a VR format, the system aims to provide a more realistic interface compared to traditional gaming controllers, with a focus on skill development and familiarity. "We're always looking for new ways to connect shooters with the CZ experience," said Chris Sprangers, Director of Marketing for CZ. "Partnering with AceVR allows us to bring the Shadow 2 into a completely new space one that's accessible, engaging, and rooted in skill development. It's an exciting step forward for both brands."The AceVR system is positioned as both a training and recreational tool, allowing users to practice target transitions, reaction times, and general shooting mechanics in a controlled virtual setting. While it does not replace live-fire training, the platform offers an accessible way for both new and experienced shooters to engage with competition-style shooting without range constraints.CZ and AceVR will present the new controller at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits 2026, where attendees can try the system firsthand at CZ’s booth. The activation area will feature a competitive element, allowing participants to attempt high scores on the VR platform. Top performers during the event will have the opportunity to win prizes, including an AceVR controller and a CZ Shadow 2 pistol, linking the virtual experience with real-world equipment. This collaboration reflects a broader trend toward integrating digital training tools into the shooting sports space, particularly for skill-building and accessibility. As VR technology continues to evolve, systems like this may serve as a supplementary tool for practice and engagement beyond traditional range environments.Check out more from these links: https://www.acexr.com/shadow2 and https://www.czfirearms.com/products/pistols/cz-shadow-2-series/cz-shadow-2-or Do you see VR as a useful supplement to real shooting practice?
