A US report has flagged India’s preference for domestic satellites in DTH services and use of localised internet shutdowns as barriers to foreign trade. The Office of the United States Trade Representative said restrictions on foreign satellite operators, including mandatory routing through Indian Space Research Organisation’s commercial arm, limit market access and add costs.
