The guy is 40 years old and has played over 2.500 minutes this season, while playing for a top side of a top 5 league in the world! And surely, we've seen other old guys playing for top teams like Neuer, Van Der Sar, Thiago Silva etc. but Modric plays in a position that requires tons of running and he never seems tired. In the age of players made of glass and countless ACL and hamstring injuries, Modric hasn't missed consecutive games due to injury since 2021. His last injury over a month was in 2016, a whole decade ago. Another crazy fact is that he's actually one month older than Rooney, who has been retired for 5 years, after spending a few ones in MLS or the Championship.
