SAIL Chairman and Managing Director Amarendu Prakash has resigned from his position. The steel ministry has approved his departure. Krishna Kumar Singh will serve as interim CMD for three months. Ashok Kumar Panda has been recommended for the permanent role. Prakash's term concludes on April 2, 2026. The company is preparing for a leadership transition.
