(File)A 17-year-old boy has been booked for abetment to suicide and attempt to commit culpable homicide in connection with an incident where a 33-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in October.According to police, the victim allegedly jumped from the fifth floor of the abandoned building in Kurla (West) on October 9. During investigation, police found several broken beer bottles and clothes at the crime scene.After scrutinising the CCTV cameras in the vicinity, police learnt that the victim had entered the building with another person, while three other youths visited the building. All four were nabbed and interrogated when it came to light that one of them, a 17-year-old boy, met the victim on a dating app.According to police, the boy allegedly called the victim to the vacant flat on the pretext of introducing another youth. The boy later visited the vacant flat with two more youths and started threatening the victim to expose his personal life to his family.The suspect even threatened him with a broken beer bottle after trying to call the man’s parents.
