Do not come to the UK. Brits are actually aggressive by nature and if someone bumps into you and you act on that policy, it will catch up to you. We are sorry to bump into you, we are sorry you bumped into us, sorry the weather is crap, sorry we were a few steps behind and you politely held the door for us, and all of it is merely social lubricant to show that we are decent folk who ruefully acknowledge life’s mildly shitty bits with good humour. I suppose the avoidance of sorry in NA is a sensible result of the litigious nature, avoid any semblance of anything that might be possibly misconstrued by even one person as potential accountability.
