He had honestly thought the destruction of the hotel could be the worst thing that could happen, but he had been too optimistic and naive. The building contains several pictures of people known for their generosity, and records show they all visited this place often. They are deeply involved in charities, and more specifically, they have taken in impoverished children from other cities for decades and given them a good life here.”Mance wasn’t sure what to make of that. “Are you saying they’re involved, or have they been using these good people’s work as a cover?”Vaughan shook his head. “I can’t say just yet… and I already checked on the children who aged out, but it seems that everyone moved to other cities or remote outposts.
