(Credit: Instagram)Anmol Bishnoi, who has been named as the main plotter by the Mumbai police in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique last year, is set to be brought to India soon as his deportation process has been completed, sources said Tuesday.A senior officer told The Indian Express that the process of deporting Anmol to India from the US had been completed. The officer stated that Anmol has several cases registered against him across the country, and the Centre will decide who should have his custody first.Baba Siddique’s son Zeeshan also told The Indian Express that he received an email from US officials Tuesday, informing him that “Anmol Bishnoi has been removed from the US by the federal government”. Anmol is the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.The Indian Express viewed the email.“My e-mail had been registered with the US authorities since I am from the victim’s family, and they would update me about any developments in the case. This morning, I received an email saying that Bishnoi has been removed from the US. I do not know what that means or where he has gone,” Zeeshan said.Anmol had been named as a wanted accused in the murder of Baba Siddique, who was shot outside his Bandra office on October 12, 2024. The Mumbai police Crime Branch had been investigating the case and arrested 26 people.In the chargesheet, the Crime Branch named Anmol as the person who had plotted the murder, and called him a wanted accused.The police said they received several voice clips from the mobile phones of the arrested accused, which matched those of Anmol. In the purported audio clips, Anmol is heard passing on instructions and motivating the men to carry out the murder.Story continues below this adAnmol Bishnoi, 26, who has also been named as a wanted accused in the Siddhu Moosewala case and the firing outside the residence of Salman Khan last year, was detained by the US authorities in November last year.Ever since, the process of bringing him back to India has been underway. With Lawrence behind bars, Anmol had planned major operations of the gang, according to officers.The National Investigation Agency (NIA) announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for Anmol last year.
