Three international experiences, including one from China, have disappeared from a popular destination at EPCOT. Here’s what Walt Disney World Resort guests need to know about the change.Club Cool at EPCOTCredit: Lee (myfrozenlife), FlickrClub Cool is one of the few classic EPCOT experiences that survived the five-year transformation of Future World into the World Celebration, World Discovery, and World Nature neighborhoods. The Coca-Cola-sponsored merchandise location, originally named Ice Station Cool, opened in Innoventions West in 1998 and was later renamed Club Cool in 2005. That location closed in 2019, and the new Club Cool debuted in the World Celebration neighborhood in 2021.Ice Station Cool opened in July 1998 in EPCOT’s Future World and was later renamed Club Cool in 2005. Guests can use self-service fountain machines to try Coca-Cola-owned beverages from countries around the world, including the infamously bitter Italian soda, Beverly. Sample-size cups are unlimited, but guests who want more can always buy a full-size version of their favorite fountain beverage.China & Two Other Countries Disappear From This EPCOT ExperienceUnfortunately, three international beverage flavors have disappeared from the self-serve fountain machines at Club Cool. The “sparkling sweet” drink is known for its “smooth, creamy tropical fruit” flavor. The Smart Sour Plum beverage from China and the Sprite Cucumber drink from Russia are both unavailable in at least one of the Club Cool fountain beverage stations. While these two drinks are still available at other machines, their flavors have historically disappeared from machine to machine until they are eventually restocked.Smart Sour Plum is a “traditional Chinese beverage” that has been available in some form for over 1,000 years. In early 2025, soft drinks from several countries were unavailable for periods of a few months, including Italy’s Beverly, China’s Sour Plum Tea, and the Philippines’ Royal Wattamelon.Do you prefer the old or new Club Cool location?
