One UI 8.5 brings a unified dual-SIM network icon on the status bar

In September, an official firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, carrying Samsung’s next version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5, leaked. It brought plenty of UI upgrades that made a big impact on the overall look of the OS. Since then, many newer builds of the software have leaked for the device, and each of them has brought UI changes. Well, the latest leaked build for the phone is no different, and it brings a change that some people have been asking for a long time.If you have two SIM cards in your Galaxy phone, One UI 8 shows two network reception status icons in the status bar, one for each SIM card. That’s not the case with the latest leaked build of One UI 8.5. The new firmware shows a single network reception status icon in the status bar that shows network reception statuses of both SIM cards, as you can see in the images below (via Tarun Vats). The latest change saves space in the status bar and makes the UI look more polished. Apple’s iOS for iPhones shows the network reception statuses of two SIM cards in the status bar in the same way. Considering that, some people may say that Samsung has copied Apple. While One UI 8.5 is months away from release, in the meantime, you can watch our video below showing the changes it offers in Quick Panel. The post One UI 8.5 brings a unified dual-SIM network icon on the status bar appeared first on SamMobile.
