20-member Azad Jammu & Kashmir cabinet sworn in

MUZAFFARABAD: The 20-member cabinet of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK)  has taken oath of office on Wednesday. As per details, the oath-taking ceremony was administered by Speaker of the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Latif Akbar.Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, attended the ceremony held at the President House in Muzaffarabad. Due to the illness of President Barrister Sultan Chaudhry, the speaker administered the oath.The new cabinet includes Sardar Javed Ayub, Mian Waheed, Javed Budhanvi, and Malik Zafar. Other ministers taking oath were Diwan Chughtai, Chaudhry Arshad, Qasim Majeed, Zia-ul-Qamar, and Chaudhry Rashid.Additionally, Nabeela Ayub, Rafiq Neer, Yasir Sultan, Bazil Naqvi, Amir Yaseen, Muhammad Hussain Chaudhry, Ikhlaq Faheem, Akhtar Rabbani, and Ali Shan Sony also took oath as ministers.Pakistan People’s Party’s Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Tuesday sworn in as the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).Acting President Chaudhry Latif Akbar administered oath to the new prime minister of Azad Kashmir.Pakistan People’s Party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur, Governor KP Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Gilgit Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah, Chaudhry Riaz Ahmed, Sohail Anwar Sial, Tanvir Ilyas, Sardar Yaqoob Khan, Raja Farooq Haider and others attended the oath taking ceremony.The no-confidence motion against AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq was passed on Monday, ending his tenure following a decisive vote in the Legislative Assembly.
