Renowned Odissi dancers from across the State will be participating in the fourth edition of Mysuru Odissi Utsav scheduled to be held at Jagannath Centre for Art and Culture in Vijayanagar in the city on November 23.Announcing this at a press conference in Mysuru on Wednesday, Guru Sindhu Kiran of Rudra Nrutya Yoga School, said the the Mysuru Odissi Utsav 2025 is scheduled to begin at 5.30 p.m. on November 23.A press statement here said Guru Sindhu Kiran has been conducting dance classes in Gokulam, Mysuru, and has introduced Odissi to students 29 years ago. “She is a disciple of Padma Bhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, Protima Gauri Bedi, and Guru Ratikant Mohapatra. As a choreographer, artist, teacher, and resource person, she has performed Odissi on prestigious platforms and festivals in India and abroad, presenting exemplary works of classical tradition”, the statement said.The Rudra Nrutya Yoga Shala has been founded with the aim of introducing Odissi in Mysuru and teaching art to interested students, thereby passing on the dance tradition to the next generation, the statement added.Published - November 19, 2025 06:31 pm IST
