Anti-Israel activists to rally outside New York City synagogue in protest of Nefesh B’Nefesh event to help potential immigrants move to Israel.By World Israel News StaffA coalition of anti-Israel, pro-Hamas organizations is planning to rally outside of a Manhattan synagogue on Wednesday, protesting against Jewish immigration to Israel and negating Israel’s right to exist. The protest targets an immigration fair organized by Nefesh B’Nefesh, a non-profit organization which works to facilitate and promote large-scale Jewish aliyah, or migration to the Jewish state. The event is slated to be held Wednesday night at the Park East Synagogue, a Modern Orthodox house of worship established in the 19th century. On Tuesday, the radical pro-Hamas group Pal-Awda: Palestinian Assembly for Liberation announced it is organizing a protest outside of the Park East Synagogue during the Nefesh B’Nefesh event. An advertisement released by Pal-Awda replaced Israel with “Palestine,” and described Jews living in Israel as “settlers on stolen land.”“Protest the settler recruiting fair,” the ad urges, calling Israel’s national airline “Genocide Settler Airlines.”“Nefesh B’Nefesh is an affiliate of the Israeli government and the Jewish Agency for Israel, mainly responsible for the recruitment of settlers to Palestine from North America,” the organizers of the protest wrote.“Since 2003, they have recruited over 80,000 settlers of which over 13,000 served in the IOF.”A number of other anti-Israel groups have since endorsed the protest, including the Jewish Voice for Peace, Writers Against the War on Gaza, and multiple pro-Hamas student groups in New York. The National Lawyers Guild, which openly endorsed the October 7th, 2023 invasion of Israel, urged its members to volunteer as legal observers at Wednesday’s synagogue protest. The post Pro-Hamas groups take aim at immigration to Israel, plan synagogue protest appeared first on World Israel News.
