The stylish right-hander struck six fours and a maximum in his 61 off 66 balls. He partnered with skipper Nandu, who secured his half-century before being dismissed for 54 (70 balls), brilliantly caught by a diving Abhijai Mansingh at backward point. The opening pair put on an impressive 107 runs. While middle-order batsmen Mavendra Dindyal (26) and Kemol Savory (25) failed to convert their starts, Guyana’s latest Test player, Kevlon Anderson, provided the late-innings fireworks.Anderson was in superb touch, using his footwork to attack the spinners and accelerating effortlessly. He motored his way to a scintillating 83 from just 60 balls, dominating the Scorpions’ attack with ten fours and three sixes.All-rounder Ronaldo Alimohamed provided the final impetus, unbeaten on 25 from 19 balls (1×4, 2x6s), ensuring the Harpy Eagles finished with a daunting run rate. The Scorpions’ bowling effort was led by skipper Brad Barnes, whose off-spin claimed 2-45 from ten overs, and Marquino Mindley, who took 2-51.The Harpy Eagles will look to carry their batting form into their next assignment on Friday, when they face the Windward Islands Volcanoes at the Sir Frank Worrell Ground from 09:00h.The post Super50: Anderson (83), Perez (61) and Nandu (54) impress in no-result against Scorpions appeared first on News Room Guyana.
