I don’t feel arrogant saying that.“What can us two do? We’re on opposite sides of the draw and people can’t stop us. I am trying to stop him and I can’t. It is up to everyone else to stop us.“At the moment us two are playing a level of this sport that is better than everyone else. I want to play another world final against him.”PALittler followed up becoming world number one by clinching a second consecutive Grand Slam title[/caption]As for his performance at the Grand Slam and what is to come in the rest of the year, he added: “I am really proud.“It is three finals on the trot I’ve lost. I’m ready for the Worlds now. I am going to win the Worlds.“I am declaring war on him. I’m playing good. Tiredness just crept in at the end there. We’re going to go to war at the World Championships, we’ll see who is the one there.“I said to him he deserves everything he gets. He’s a massive advocate for darts. I’ve never really felt like world number one, I’ve never felt like I’ve got the attention I deserve. He’s such an incredible player.”Humphries had already ‘declared war’ on Littler after reaching the final earlier in the afternoon.Humphries admitted he ‘didn’t get the attention I deserved’ after his third straight final lossPAThe former world champion beat Gerwyn Price in the last four to set up his showdown with the teenager.Meanwhile, they could go head-to-head before next month’s PDC World Darts Championship. Both players will compete at the Players Championship Finals in Minehead next weekend. They are in different halves of the draw, though, so cannot meet until the final.Humphries beat Littler at that stage last year to successfully defend his title. As the top two in the world rankings, they will also avoid each other until the final at Alexandra Palace, should they both get there. It would represent a rematch of their clash from two years ago, which saw Humphries reach the sport’s summit by toppling Littler after his stunning run to the final on debut. The 30-year-old’s reign was ended in the fourth round by Peter Wright last year, though.
