‘Bob Iger and His Ilk Are F*****G Ghouls,’ Disney Animator Slams Iger After He Teased AI-Generated Content on Disney+

At this week’s earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger informed investors that Disney plans to expand its use of artificial intelligence, enabling users to post their own content on Disney+. While this expands the possibilities for users, it comes at the expense of those who originally created the content. That we will own!’ YOU CAN DRAW AND WRITE AND POST YOUR OWN S**T FOR FREE. Bob Iger and his ilk are f*****g ghouls. There is a great deal of concern among creators in the film and television industries over the use of AI online, including by Disney, which has teamed up with other production companies to sue the AI company Midjourney for copyright infringement, alleging that it generates and distributes images based on Disney’s copyrighted characters and intellectual property. Unsubscribe from Disney+. Pirate Owl House. I don’t care. Fuck gen AI.— Dana Terrace (@DanaTerrace) November 14, 2025Most AI-generated content borrows pieces from other sources and recombines them to create something new, often without providing credit or compensation to the original creators. In this case, if someone created content on Disney+, they would presumably be using Disney characters to create their content, and Disney would be able to make money off that content. “If you pay us we’ll let you make your own content slop! However, it is unclear if the original creators would receive compensation for the use of their material in the new content. Would Terrace receive compensation if someone created a new show based on The Owl House? The answer is unclear. In a later post, Terrace clarified that she’s not against content creators and encouraged her followers to make their own works without “poisoning people’s towns.” AI requires massive amounts of energy to produce content and water for cooling, which creates environmental issues around data centers. What do you think of Disney allowing people to use its characters to create new content on Disney+ without compensating the original creators? Let us know in the comments.
