Flying Crystal Palace fullback Daniel Munoz can see himself playing for one of the world’s best sides – or Manchester United. The Colombian has been one of the Premier League’s stand-out players this season, having already shone under Oliver Glasner in 2024/25.Munoz has been shining at Selhurst and may get a big move, even at the age of 29GettyThat’s understandably brought some transfer speculation, with many of Palace’s key men going on to shine elsewhere.Michael Olise has become a stand-out attacker for Bayern Munich and France since leaving Selhurst Park, and Eberechi Eze is on the same path for Arsenal and England.Munoz is doing similar for Colombia, booking a spot at the 2026 World Cup, and he admits he’s already thought about his next club.Asked about a Palace departure by AS, he responded “I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another. “For me, it would be a dream to play for one of those clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester United. “I think I’m working towards that; every day I give it my all so that maybe one day I can catch the attention of these clubs. “Right now, I’m focused on my club, on doing things well at Crystal Palace. I’m not really aware of what’s being said; I don’t have any information about whether these teams want me or are interested in me. “We’ll see when the winter transfer window approaches. Right now, I’m fully focused on these two matches with the national team.”Munoz will undoubtedly continue to draw attention, particularly from those European sides should he have a strong showing in the Americas next summer.Yet being mentioned along regular Champions League and league winners Madrid, Barca and PSG shows just how big United’s lure remains, having snagged Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo ahead of better-placed rivals in the summer.Munoz has helped take Palace to new heightsMunoz is following up his excellent 2024/25 season with another fine campaignWhen it comes to attacking Munoz has eight goals and 13 assists in 81 games for Palace, while he’s also been part of a rock solid defence, winning a first-ever major trophy in the FA Cup last season. The 29-year-old is still very happy where he is, though, saying playing in England was just as big a dream, and one he realised upon leaving Belgian side Genk in January 2024.Discussing his suitability for the league, he said: “I prepare myself in every aspect to the best of my ability. “Reaching the Premier League and then staying there was a dream of mine, and I believe that’s the result of daily hard work. “To achieve that, you only get there by working hard and putting it at the service of my team and the national team. “I’ve always been known for my work ethic, and one of my strengths is my athletic ability, which I strive to improve to maintain a high level.”
