The film, titled Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, also stars Ananya Panday. The film’s teaser has just been unveiled, and from the looks of it, the film promises to be a breezy, sun-soaked romantic comedy. The teaser opens with a super that reads: “If you are going to live another week, live the best week of your life.” This sets the tone as we are introduced to the protagonist, Ray, played by Kartik Aaryan. He appears by the beach, flaunting his abs and delivering a typically cheeky monologue: “Malika se lekar Malala tak, Urfi se lekar Kamla tak, koi bhi iss mama’s boy ko haath se nahi jaane dega.” (From Malika to Malala, from Urfi to Kamla, no one will ever let this mama’s boy slip away).WATCH | Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri teaserWe then meet our heroine, Rumi, portrayed by Ananya Panday, who declares: “Main 2025 ke hook-up culture mein 90s ki love story chahti hoon.” (In the hook-up culture of 2025, I want a 90s love story). What follows is a montage of the duo vacationing on picturesque beaches under a bright summer sun. However, the mood shifts when Kartik’s character teases Ananya’s feminist ideals, saying: “Waise toh tum log har jagha feminism ke jhande ghadte rehte ho par chivalry ki expectations phir bhi rakhte ho. Ladies first, pulling out chairs, opening doors. Dono haath mein ladoo chhaiye kya?” (You people keep waving the flag of feminism everywhere, yet still expect chivalry. Ladies first, pulling out chairs, opening doors. Do you want a ladoo in both hands?)Also Read | Karan Johar was told to leave the country if he wanted to find love, believes humans are ‘meant to be a unit of two’: ‘Rab ne jodi nahi banayi’The teaser’s funniest moment arrives toward the end, when Ananya’s character appears to have been stung by a jellyfish and urges Kartik to suck out the poison. Kartik refuses, quipping: “Jumma jumma chaar din huye hai mile huye main kyin tera zehar nikaloon?” (It’s barely been four days since we met, why should I suck out your poison?) He then drops a direct reference to Friends, explaining how Chandler had to pee on Monica after a jellyfish sting. Initially hesitant, Ananya’s character eventually gives him permission to go ahead. The film is directed by Sameer Vidwans and marks his second collaboration with Kartik Aaryan after Satyaprem Ki Katha. Kartik and Ananya Panday are also reuniting on screen for the second time after their 2019 hit Pati Patni Aur Woh.
