Gunshots were fired into the air from unidentified firearms during the clash.“A case was registered in this regard against eight people today. No one has been arrested till now,” a police officer said on Wednesday.The police registered the case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections related to voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons, committing robbery, criminal intimidation, common intention, criminal conspiracy, etc.As per a complaint filed by one Abdul Munin, the eight accused people came to Tillabazar brandishing sharp weapons and attacked his younger brother, Shamim Ahmed, on his head. Ahmed sustained a severe head injury in the assault and was rushed first to a local hospital and later to a hospital in Agartala.As local residents started assembling at the crime scene, the accused people fired two rounds of bullets into the open air and another group of people started pelting stones.
