Samsung has launched a new keyboard. Yes, a new wireless keyboard that can be used with Galaxy laptops, phones, and tablets, but you can essentially use it with any device that has Bluetooth and supports wireless keyboards. It features Bluetooth 5.4 and has a tenkeyless layout. Samsung says the Smart Keyboard has a 19mm key pitch for a laptop keyboard-like feel. However, it lacks a backlight, so it is harder to use in a completely dark environment. The keyboard has a dedicated key to switch between three paired devices. The keyboard also has a dedicated key to access AI features. When it is paired with a Galaxy phone or tablet, it summons Bixby or Google Gemini. And when it is paired with a Galaxy Book (or any other Windows machine), it opens Microsoft Copilot. It also has a shortcut key to start DeX.The top row features buttons for media playback controls, volume controls, Android UI navigation (Home and Task Switcher), and workspace switcher. You can set F1, F2, and F3 keys as shortcut keys to three of your favorite apps. To access actual function key operations, you have to press them in combination with the Fn key. It measures 280.3×111.5×4.3mm and weighs 218.4g. It is powered by a coin cell battery (CR2032) that offers “long-lasting battery life,” but Samsung stops short of mentioning actual battery life estimates.
