The Galaxy S series is Samsung's flagship lineup for the year and it's meant to offer the best of the best. However, there's one area where the Galaxy A5x series has outperformed the base flagship models recently: charging speed. The Galaxy A56 offered faster 45W wired charging compared to the Galaxy S25's 25W. That trend is apparently set to continue next year as the latest information shows the Galaxy A57 will offer 45W fast charging as well. Samsung is expected to retain the Galaxy S26 at 25W. The new mid-range may offer faster charging than the Galaxy S26Samsung's upcoming premium mid-ranger, the Galaxy A57, has been certified by China's 3C regulatory agency. The listing documents show the Galaxy A57, bearing model number SM-A5760, having support for 45W wired fast charging just like its predecessor. This is just the status quo carrying over from this year, so it's likely that this will only be limited to the Galaxy S26, as the Galaxy S25+ has support for 45W wired fast charging, and there's no reason to think why its successor won't be held to the same standard. Samsung continues to support 45W wired fast charging for the Galaxy S Ultra models and the Galaxy S26 Ultra won't be any different. There have been some rumors to suggest that it may see an increase to 60W but that hasn't been substantiated yet, so take those rumors with a grain of salt. The company hasn't confirmed when its new flagship lineup is going to be unveiled, let alone next year's marquee Galaxy A5x model, but you can expect to see more leaks about the Galaxy A57 in the months to come. The post Galaxy A57 could be faster than the Galaxy S26 in one crucial area appeared first on SamMobile.
