A 48-year-old man and his 17-year-old daughter were killed in a road accident at Poondi near Kanjanur in Villupuram district on Tuesday.The police gave the names of the victims as Venkatesan and Priya of Thuthipet village.The police said Venkatesan was riding a two-wheeler with his daughter on the pillion when the fatal accident occurred. They were on the way to Villupuram when a fertilizer-laden lorry dashed against the two-wheeler killing the rider and pillion on the spot.A case has been registered.Published - November 18, 2025 09:27 pm IST
