This inconsistency forces trustees into inaccurate data entry thereby complicating the process unnecessarily,” the TDC said.Another concern raised is the lack of a Waqif (donor) details section while adding details of multiple properties. “Trusts with assets donated by different individuals cannot specify which donor contributed which property, creating challenges in recording accurate historical and legal information,” it said. The council also pointed out a jurisdictional error in Aravalli district, where the portal lists only Bayad under Urban Corporations, omitting Modasa which is officially recognised as an urban corporation. The Waqf Trusts are also facing delays in obtaining PTR (Public Trust Register) copies, essential documents required for registration, audit compliance, and statutory updates, it added.According to the TDC, PTR copies requested on October 27 remain unissued despite multiple visits to the Waqf Board office in Gandhinagar. While some B-Series PTRs (for pre-1996 trusts) have been provided, most 0-Series PTRs remain pending with no clear timeline for completion, it said.Story continues below this ad“Both the technical glitches and the non-availability of PTRs have severely restricted our ability to help trusts meet the approaching deadline. Without PTR copies and a fully functional portal, timely compliance is simply not possible,” the Council noted, emphasising that the delays stem from administrative shortcomings rather than any fault of the trusts. With the registration deadline drawing near and systems still not functioning smoothly, several Waqf Trusts in Gujarat remain uncertain about completing their mandatory digital compliance, it said.Tandalja Development Council is a community-based public welfare organisation working for the social, educational, infrastructural and civic development of Tandalja, Vadodara.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:waqf
