“Don’t wear a helmet… smoke a cigarette while firing to appear fearless… you will create history.”This was allegedly part of gangster Anmol Bishnoi’s instructions to shooters who fired outside actor Salman Khan’s residence last year, as per the chargesheet filed by Mumbai Police Crime Branch.Anmol, 26, who was named in two cases by the Mumbai Police – the Salman house firing and murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, was deported to India from US and was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday.In both cases, the crime branch named Anmol, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, as the main planner and motivator of the shooters.The chargesheet filed in the case over firing outside the actor’s residence on April 14, 2024, has the transcript of the audio conversation on the Signal app between Anmol and Vicky Gupta, who was allegedly riding the bike carrying the shooter.Also Read | Anmol Bishnoi deported to India: Who is the notorious gangster?The transcript of the conversation read: “Waha pe goliya bade soch samajh kar aur saari jagah tatatat chalani hai. Chahe apne ko aadha minit lage toh bhi dikkat nahi hai, ek minit lage ya dedh minit lage, koi dikkat nahi hai, aur aise chalani hai ki bhai dar rahe ho… us waqt cigarette peete peete hi chalana taki camera mey aaye… ki aise lage ki bekhauf chalate hai ji, matlab apne ko ye cheez dikhana hai ki inko koi nahi hai (You need to fire carefully and quickly. Do not worry even if it takes half a minute or more than a minute. You should fire to scare Bhai (Salman Khan)… You should fire while smoking a cigarette so that CCTV cameras capture you that way…it will seem that you are fearless, we have to show that).In the chargesheet over Baba Siddique’s murder, who was killed in October, 2024, the police mentioned that Anmol, who masterminded the conspiracy, was constantly in touch with men who carried out the murder and motivated them with promises of a flat, car and Rs 5 lakh in advance.Story continues below this adIn one recovered conversation, Anmol allegedly instructed the accused to conduct recce near Siddique’s Bandra residence, promising rewards for their efforts.“Ram Ram bhai log, aap sabko Lawrence bhai ne bhi Ram Ram bolne ko bola hai. Kya chal raha hai? Apne ko ek kaam karna hai, himmat rakho. Bandra mey ghar ke paas recce karna hai, ussi area mey ek ghar bhaade se le lo. Apna kaam hone ke baad ek four-wheeler gaadi aur ek flat har ek ko milega…usse pehle Rs 5 lakh advance dunga. Apne bhai ka badla lena hai. Apne ko apne dharam ke liye jeene ka hai… (Ram Ram brothers. Lawrence bhai [Lawrence Bishnoi] has also asked me to say hello to you all. You have to do one job, keep courage. You have to conduct recce in Bandra and take a house on rent in the same area. If you do the job, each one of you will be given a car, a flat and Rs 5 lakh advance. We have to revenge for our brother. We have to live for our dharam),” states part of purported conversation disclosed by an accused.Police claimed that this conversation took place between one of the alleged shooters Shubham Lonkar and Anmol, on speaker phone, in the presence of three other co-accused.According to the chargesheet, Anmol framed the murder as revenge for the death of his associate Anuj Thapan, who allegedly died by suicide in May 2024 while in custody after being arrested for firing at actor Salman Khan’s residence.Story continues below this adIn both the cases, Anmol was named as wanted accused and the Mumbai police will seek his custody in those cases.“A separate supplementary chargesheet will be filed by crime branch after interrogating him in both cases,” an official said.The Mumbai police had also sent extradition requests in both cases. Lawrence is currently lodged in the Sabarmati prison in Gujarat.
