(File photo)THE SHAHIBAUG three-way underpass will remain closed for all vehicular traffic for five days between 8 pm on January 23 and throughout January 28, due to Bullet Train work. The contractor will be putting up horizontal segments on the pillars for the High Speed Rail as well as carrying out piloting work between Sabarmati and Vatva sections.The Shahibaug three-way underpass was earlier set to remain closed between January 5 and 12 and a notification had been issued to that effect on December 30, 2025. However, after the work was delayed, the notification was withdrawn on January 5, 2026.The Ahmedabad City Traffic Police on January 19, issued a new traffic diversion notification on Monday.Vehicles coming from Delhi Darwaza and Subhash bridge and heading towards the airport or Gandhinagar, can access the riverfront road from Shilalekh flat and head towards Daffnala.Traffic coming from Airport or Gandhinagar can also use the riverfront road to reach Asarwa, Girdharnagar, Delhi Darwaza, and Kalupur.Vehicles come from Girdharnagar and Asarwa, can go towards Gayatri mandir, past the army cantonment and airport circle to head towards the airport or take the Indira bridge to go to Gandhinagar.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:ahmedabadBullet train
