(Photo: SonyLIV)Aman Gupta is known for his candid demeanour on Shark Tank India and in a recent interview, he was quite direct about his opinions on his fellow sharks on the show. While he showered praise on Namita Thapar, he also called out Lenskart’s Peyush Bansal for the Rs 70,000 crore valuation of his company at the time of their IPO. He shared that while he did not like Anupam Mittal during the initial seasons, they have become close friends now. Aman also spoke about Ashneer Grover, who exited the show after the first season, and said that they have stayed in touch since then.In a chat with Humans of Bombay, he was asked about his fellow sharks and he openly said, “I don’t like all of them.” When asked about his favourite sharks on the show, he said, “Namita is my favourite shark. She is outstanding. She is who she is and since season 1, we have had a wonderful bond and it’s been growing every year. We also do a lot of deals together.”Talking about Anupam Mittal, he said, “I didn’t like him for 1 or 2 seasons and then our relationship actually grew. We now go for family holidays together. When we go on the Shark Tank India set, we sometimes fight. It’s banter and competitiveness which comes out. He said, “It was outstanding to be with him in season 1. Till date, those memes are very popular where we look at each other and laugh. People still remember our banter.”Peyush, who has appeared on all seasons so far, is not on the show this time and Aman explained that this was probably because of his IPO. “Peyush didn’t come this season because of his IPO. Because there was some stretch in his valuation. If he had come on and questioned any pitcher about their valuation, then we would have also pointed out his valuation, ‘Aap valuation ki baat mat hi karo. Aap valuation ke liye lad rahe ho? Aap? 70,000 cr’,” he said with a laugh and later added, “I think Lenskart could have valued themselves a little better because they didn’t leave a lot of money on the table is what I felt and what the public felt. I felt they could have gotten a very good jump later on. I don’t know what their valuation is right now.”He was also very candid about his opinion on Ritesh Agarwal of OYO and said, “Ritesh has started growing on me. I have started liking him lately and he started becoming much better on camera. Season 4, I didn’t like him that much but season 5, I really started liking him.”Story continues below this adAman said that he doesn’t mind sharing names of those he doesn’t like but the producers of Shark Tank India don’t appreciate that. “I am told that don’t take names because he is a fellow shark.
