Radical notion! My entire childhood from age nine upwards was spending all Saturday morning cleaning house with my other family members (parents, sibling). Non-negotiable. And to a very strict standard, at that. I don't think it ever occurred to my parents to pay someone to do it, even though it would have been affordable for them. I'm not hating on people who pay a cleaner, btw. I do it myself because I live with an actual unrepentant slob and I am not lifting one more finger for him, lol. But I also pay the going rate, and it's not cheap.
