GBPAUD – Post-analysis ReviewBritish Pound/Australian DollarFX:GBPAUDself_taught_traderThis is a review of my previous GBPAUD analysis. The initial bias was bearish. My expectation was a sweep of buy-side liquidity above before continuation lower. Price did move lower, but it did not reach the liquidity zone I had highlighted. Is this a problem? Not at all. The key is to understand why the scenario didn’t play out as expected. Observations: 1. The upward trendline was never fully reclaimed — liquidity below existed, but not as I anticipated. 2. The downward trendline, which I hadn’t fully considered, also contained liquidity that influenced the move. 3. What I initially noted as a high liquidity zone was more of a mitigation (reclosures of supply zones) than true liquidity. 4. The structure remains clear: lower highs and lower lows on the H3 timeframe. Conclusion: Once the downward trendline was approached, price revisited a supply zone before continuing lower. This shows that reviewing scenarios—even when the market doesn’t follow your initial expectation—is crucial for learning and improving analysis.
