A guest recently had a scary experience at a Disney hotel – and was far from impressed by the cast member response.Disney hotels are designed to extend the magic beyond the parks themselves. From themed décor to early park access and immersive storytelling, they are meant to feel safe, seamless, and carefully managed. Still, even in these controlled environments, things can and do go wrong.Incident Reported at Disney HotelThe incident took place at Disney Hotel Cheyenne, one of the more affordable onsite options at Disneyland Paris, themed around the American Old West with Toy Story touches. The guest was staying with their partner and two young children and had just checked in.Credit: DisneyWhile waiting for their room to become available, the guest says their partner suddenly fainted and collapsed on the floor. “Whilst trying to assist her I shouted for help multiple times,” they wrote on Reddit, adding that three cast members were nearby but none initially intervened.According to the account, the situation resolved only after the partner regained consciousness. A cast member eventually approached and asked whether an ambulance was needed. The guest declined emergency services but requested water, explaining that their partner was still shaken and weak.Credit: DisneyThat request reportedly led to further frustration. The cast member allegedly pointed toward the hotel shop and told the guest to buy water instead. The guest said this was particularly upsetting given their proximity to the hotel restaurant and their reluctance to leave their partner alone again.“I was kinda disgusted at this,” the guest wrote, adding that their partner could “hardly sit up on her own.” They later raised the issue with reception but described the conversation as “a waste of time,” questioning whether filing a formal complaint was worthwhile.Credit: DisneyOther Incidents at Disney HotelsHotel Cheyenne is one of several onsite Disneyland Paris hotels, alongside Hotel Santa Fe, Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, and the flagship Disneyland Hotel, which controversially limited access to hotel residents and those with dining reservations in 2026. While service standards are generally high, guest experiences can vary.Back in December, a guest reported that their opioid medication mysteriously went missing from their hotel room at Disneyland Paris. Other Reddit users shared similar experiences from hotels on property, with one writing, “We had this happen a few years ago. We popped in to drop off luggage get changed and head to the parks in the morning, when we arrived back in the evening our room had been totally ransacked stripped. Front desk didn’t want to know told us we would have to file a police report.”Thefts have also been reported at hotels further afield.Credit: DisneyAlso in December, an employee for the third-party valet team at Kidani Village was arrested after investigators said he stole a guest’s checkbook at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and used it to cash nearly $1,300 in fraudulent checks.Nearly a year earlier, a guest alleged that their purse worth $5,000 was snatched from a room at the same Disney hotel. While they reported the incident to the hotel, they claimed that nothing was done to rectify the situation.“I had to go in person as I’m still here for work and the lobby [tried] to gaslight me to file a lost and found claim that if anyone finds it at the parks,” they wrote on Reddit. “I said it’s not lost in the parks, it never left my room. They didn’t care [and] gave me a little slip for lost and found lol.”Have you ever had a negative experience at a Disney hotel? The post “I Was Disgusted,” Guest Speaks Out After Disturbing Experience at Disney Hotel appeared first on Inside the Magic.
