(File Photo for representation)Lured into a public park through a fake social media account, a 18-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death in broad daylight at Northwest Delhi’s Rohini on Thursday by a group of juveniles, including the brother of a girl he was reportedly in a relationship with, police said.Five minors, including the girl’s 17-year-old brother, have been apprehended.Additional DCP Sandeep Gupta said the incident took place at a park in Rohini.Police said Prashant Vihar police station received information through PCR regarding a stabbing incident around 3 pm on Thursday.“A police team immediately rushed to the spot, where the victim was found lying on the ground, injured and bleeding profusely. His friends informed police that he had been stabbed by some boys and had fallen unconscious,” an officer said.He was taken to BSA Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.During investigation, it was revealed that the victim was in a relationship with a girl, which was opposed by her brother, police said.Story continues below this adThe minor allegedly used a friend’s social media account under a fake name to remain in contact with the victim and lured him to the park on the pretext of meeting.“On the day of the incident, he allegedly arrived at the park along with his associates and attacked the victim with a knife, resulting in his death,” DCP Gupta said.Police said the knife used in the crime has been recovered, along with the victim’s mobile phone, wrist watch and a metallic kada.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Delhi NCR
