Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut attributes the BJP's victory in the Mumbai civic elections to Eknath Shinde's betrayal of the Marathi manoos. The BJP-Shiv Sena combine secured a majority, ending the Thackeray family's long-standing control of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Raut also noted the MNS underperformed. The opposition plans to act as a strong check on the ruling alliance.
