Satheesan’s list of 60 books — both in English and Malayalam — includes Arundhati Roy’s Mother Mary Comes To Me, Amitav Ghosh’s The Nutmeg’s Curse, Rodrigo Garcia’s A Farewell to Gabo and Mercedes: A Son’s Memoir of Gabriel García Márquez and Mercedes Barcha. Another one (The Menopause Brain by Lisa Mosconi), Satheesan had said, has changed his attitude towards women, including his wife.Documenting Gig WorkersAfter throwing his weight behind them, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha will on Monday release a mini-documentary on the plight of gig workers engaged in the Capital’s quick commerce sector. Chadha, who earlier this month participated in protests by gig workers demanding fair pay, dignity and safety, spent a day in their shoes to exhibit the ‘pressure, the challenges and the small wins’ as a 10-minute delivery rider in Delhi’s freezing winter.Vigilance for Noida MetroThe Centre has stepped in to appoint an official on additional charge as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), who oversees anti-corruption efforts, of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC).
