Health Minister Rushikesh Patel launched the drive by inaugurating a blood donation camp at Juna Sachivalaya in Gandhinagar on Tuesday morning, said an official release from the state government.As part of the drive, the association of government employees also developed an application ‘Namo ke Naam Raktadan’ for the employees to register themselves for the blood donation. The one-day blood donation camps were held at 378 places across the state, said the government statement.According to the official release, over 1.28 lakh employees had registered for the blood donation drive. The blood donation drive has been organised to help the needy on the occasion of the success of Operation Sindoor and PM Modi’s birthday, stated the official release.Later in the evening, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel attended a function at Tagore Hall in Ahmedabad, which was also a part of the drive. Speaking on the occasion, CM Patel congratulated the associations of the government employees who planned the drive and those who donated blood during it.
