Gray added that the roommate was Robinson’s romantic partner. The Utah County attorney further confirmed that the DNA found on the trigger of the rifle that killed Kirk matched with Robinson.Robinson, in one of the notes, wrote that he spent about a week planning the attack on Charlie Kirk, who was considered a key aide of President Donald Trump and was credited for energizing the Republican youth movement during the 2024 presidential election. “The murder of Charlie Kirk is an American tragedy,” Gray said.Gray read out one of the notes allegedly written by Robinson which said, “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I’m going to take it.” The prosecutor also shared the text message Robinson had sent to his roommate which allegedly said he shot Kirk because he had “had enough of his hatred,” BBC reported.Robinson is being held at the Utah County Jail in a special housing unit without any prospects of bail.
