Cooking, food tasting, workshops, fashion: Newly launched TEC brings authentic Thai culture to Indians

The centre is an interactive space that invites visitors to see, hear, taste, and feel the vibrant essence of Thai culture—from its rich history and cuisine to its art, music, and traditions,” she added.While the centre is open to schools and universities on a registration basis, the general public is welcome during special events and programmes, embassy officials said.Students can now book their slots online to visit TEC and experience lectures, culinary sessions, and other programmes on offer, they added.Built with the goal of fostering a deeper appreciation among Indians for Thailand’s rich culture and heritage, Thangsumphant hopes that TEC will serve as a building block for a spirited Indian-Thai friendship.“We hope that the TEC will spark your creativity and curiosity about Thailand… so you can carry forward the spirit of Indian-Thai friendship into the future,” said Chavanart Thangsumphant during the launch at the embassy.As part of its pilot project, the Royal Thai Embassy opened its doors to welcome students of Mount Abu School, New Delhi, on July 30. During the visit, the students got the opportunity to be part of an interactive seminar on Thai-Indian relations and cultural history. The visit also featured educational games, a guided tour of the centre, and a tasting session of specially curated Thai snacks and beverages.Story continues below this adWith a plethora of programmes under its belt, TEC doesn’t intend to stop here.
